DevOps Engineer

Summary

Velocix develops video delivery solutions for telecommunications operators, broadcasters, and streaming providers. The DevOps Engineer will design, automate, deploy, and operate cloud-native platforms and infrastructure, with responsibilities spanning platform engineering, CI/CD enablement, cloud operations, reliability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure platform solutions
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions
• Automate deployment, provisioning, monitoring, and operational processes
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, performance, and security
• Build reusable automation frameworks and operational tooling
• Participate in platform modernization and cloud adoption initiatives
• Design, implement, and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines
• Support engineering teams in adopting DevOps practices and automation-first approaches
• Improve release automation and deployment processes
• Contribute to software delivery best practices across development teams
• Support version control, build automation, testing, and release management processes
• Manage and support infrastructure deployed across cloud and virtualized environments
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design resilient and highly available systems
• Monitor infrastructure performance and troubleshoot platform issues
• Support disaster recovery, scalability, and operational readiness initiatives
• Participate in incident investigation and root-cause analysis activities
• Work closely with Software Engineers, Test Engineers, Architects, Product Teams, and Operations teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery activities
• Support technical reviews, operational reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices, depending on experience level

• Experience with one or more cloud providers: * AWS * Microsoft Azure * Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with: * Cloud-native architectures * Cloud deployments * High-availability solutions * Platform operations
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as: * Terraform * Ansible * Puppet * Similar automation frameworks
