Job description
Summary
Velocix develops video delivery solutions for telecommunications operators, broadcasters, and streaming providers. The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance scalable video delivery and streaming products, while contributing to distributed systems, APIs, automation, Agile delivery, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions
- Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, development, and implementation activities
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, secure, and performant applications and services
- Build and enhance distributed systems and microservices-based platforms
- Develop backend services, APIs, and user-facing applications
- Write and maintain unit tests and automated test suites
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during development, testing, and production operations
- Create and maintain technical documentation, feature specifications, and user guides
- Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Support, and Operations teams
- Contribute to release planning and delivery activities
- Share knowledge and mentor team members where appropriate
- Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies
