Software Engineer

Summary

TRACTIAN develops an integrated software ecosystem combining predictive maintenance with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to help teams predict equipment failures and optimize maintenance workflows. The Software Engineer will develop and enhance user-centric application features, services, and APIs while improving system performance, quality, security, stability, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Build Features & APIs: Design and build robust features, services, and APIs that power our applications
• Own Application Quality: Build and maintain high-quality features, holding a high bar for craftsmanship and reliability
• Drive System Improvements: Identify opportunities for system enhancements and take ownership of initiatives that improve application performance
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Track emerging technologies, frameworks, and best practices, and bring the best of them into our stack
• Ensure Reliability: Own the security, stability, and scalability of the services you build, holding them to a high standard

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of development experience, with at least 2 years focused on React and Node
• Proven experience building applications that manage complex workflows, such as ERPs
• Deep experience implementing and maintaining state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Jotai)
• Strong command of server-side logic, RESTful API design, and database schema design
• Proficiency in TypeScript, with hands-on experience across SQL and NoSQL databases
• Solid grounding in test-driven development (TDD)
