Trans Ova (Bryan, TX Center) is seeking a Professional Services Embryologist intern to assist the current team with IVF lab procedures, data entry, and inventory. This is a professional services internship that includes in clinic and on farm OPU/transfer trips in which the intern will be client facing, while learning proper SOPs to assist in lab work.
Major Areas of Accountability
Learn safe handling procedures for liquid nitrogen, semen and embryos
Learn and apply SOPs for oocyte searching and grading
Learn and apply SOPs for fresh IVF embryo grading
Learn proper thawing procedure for DT embryos for transfers
Organize and maintain supplies for procedures and frozen inventories
Assist PSE team with data entry for transfers, OPUs, billing and frozen embryo shipments
Cross training opportunities with client service, IVF lab, sexed semen lab, donor/recip herdsmen, and technician/veterinarians
Gain an understanding of the reproductive terminology commonly used in the livestock industry and communicate options with clients
Represent TOG in a professional and friendly manner at all times
Provide detailed feedback on the summer experience, as well as potential improvements to the internal TOG system from a third party perspective
