Job description

Summary

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Technology Marketing & Inventor Engagement Intern. The intern will help BioVentures communicate with UAMS inventors, prepare technologies for commercialization outreach, and support the creation of clear technology marketing materials throughout the commercialization process.

Responsibilities

  • The Technology Marketing & Inventor Engagement Intern will help BioVentures communicate with UAMS inventors and prepare technologies for commercialization outreach
  • The intern will work with scientific, patent, and inventor-provided information to develop clear technology marketing materials and support engagement throughout the commercialization process
  • Following initial onboarding and training, work will be primarily remote and asynchronous, with flexible scheduling around academic responsibilities

Skills

  • Current graduate or professional student in science, engineering, biomedical sciences, business, communications, law, or a related field
  • Strong writing, research, and professional communication skills, including timely and consistent follow-up with faculty, researchers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to understand complex information and communicate it clearly to different audiences
  • Interest in technology commercialization, science communication, innovation, entrepreneurship, or business development
  • Able to manage assignments independently and meet established deadlines

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Current graduate or professional student in science, engineering, biomedical sciences, business, communications, law, or a related field
  • Strong writing, research, and professional communication skills, including timely and consistent follow-up with faculty, researchers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to understand complex information and communicate it clearly to different audiences
