Summary
UASI is a healthcare consulting firm serving healthcare organizations nationwide. The Resource Optimization Specialist supports capacity forecasting, real-time resource utilization, and staffing alignment to ensure client-facing teams are deployed efficiently, productively, and profitably. The role maintains workforce data, monitors utilization, identifies staffing risks, and supports cross-service-line resource planning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain real-time visibility of available staff, client assignments, and capacity across service lines
- Forecast resource needs based on volume trends, renewals, new clients, scheduled PTO, turnover, and client cycles
- Align resources to clients based on skill set, performance history, certification, access, and availability
- Monitor utilization and productivity KPIs — including overtime as a percentage of total labor hours — to support margin protection targets
- Maintain resource and skills data in QuickBase in accordance with the standardized processes
- Contribute to a weekly workforce digest and monthly workforce alignment report, and participate in weekly workforce operations reviews
- Identify staffing risks and coverage gaps proactively, and collaborate with Client Success Managers and Staffing Success Managers on improvement plans
- Support development of a cross-service-line “flex pool” of resources eligible for deployment across engagements
Skills
- 2+ years of healthcare operations, resource planning, resource management, or related experience
- Analytical skills, including resource forecasting and performance modeling
- Proficiency in QuickBase or similar resource/planning tools
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to assess risk and drive proactive, data-informed decision-making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including 365, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Coding, CDI, or revenue cycle operations
- Familiarity with healthcare staffing models and terminology
- Experience building dashboards or reports (Power BI a plus)
