Job description
Summary
Unisys is seeking a Data Center Operations Support Technician to provide technical and operational support within high-availability data center environments. The role focuses on monitoring and maintaining critical IT equipment and executing routine tasks to ensure reliable continuous operation.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support for assigned data center computer systems and peripheral equipment
- Monitor on-line system performance using software support tools and help ensure scheduled jobs are completed in a timely manner
- Perform standard maintenance and repair activities
- Reassign job priorities according to precedent, policy, and procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to alerts and system issues
- Update systems and applications
- Partners with vendors and component suppliers to replace or repair failed equipment
- Assist with cabling, racking, and server installation activities when needed
Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in a data center operations role, infrastructure support role, or a related technical field
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree or technical certification in IT, computer science, data center operations, or a related field
- Technical certifications: CompTIA (A+, Network+, Server+), CCNA
- Structured data cabling
- Fundamental IT Service Management knowledge

- High School Diploma or GED
