Job description

Summary

Valeris is a life sciences commercialization partner that provides data, strategic insights, patient support services, and healthcare provider engagement tools. The Financial Analyst supports customer program financial performance through data analysis, reporting, billing review, account reconciliation, month-end close activities, and collaboration with Finance and operational partners.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, explain variances, and provide practical recommendations
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports on revenue, receivables, cash activity, and customer program performance
  • Develop clear analyses and reporting tools that help stakeholders understand results and make informed decisions
  • Review billing and related activity for accuracy and completeness; investigate discrepancies from source data through resolution
  • Reconcile balances and transactions across reports, customer records, and the general ledger, maintaining clear support for conclusions
  • Monitor open items and work with internal partners to resolve financial questions in a timely manner
  • Support month-end close through account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with revenue and deferred revenue analysis and reconciliations as needed
  • Maintain reliable documentation and follow established financial controls and approval processes
  • Partner with Finance, Client Services, and Operations to understand business activity and its financial impact
  • Interpret relevant contract terms and business processes to support accurate billing and reporting
  • Identify ways to improve data quality, reporting, and the efficiency of financial processes

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, financial operations, or a related finance role
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with large datasets, investigate differences, and explain findings
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
  • Clear communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with billing, receivables, reconciliations, or month-end reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, or process improvement
  • Familiarity with GAAP and revenue recognition principles

Qualifications

Must Haves
