Summary
VanEck is a global asset management firm whose Fund Administration team supports mutual fund and ETF operations. The Regulatory Reporting Analyst prepares financial reports and regulatory filings, supports fund audits and Board reporting, manages expense-related activities, and identifies process improvements and AI-driven automation opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports which includes loading fund data, analyzing for discrepancies and problem resolution. Reports include:
+ Annual and semi-annual financial statements and shareholder reports
+ Regulatory filings including 24f-2, N-PX, NFA, TSR, N-CSR and N-CEN
- Active involvement with yearly fund audits where the individual prepares reports, liaises with internal and external teams to ensure the successful and timely completion of this critical business requirement
- Prepare expense budgets and make expense payments
- Prepare Board of Trustees reports
- Review and report on securities lending activity
- Monitor for potential productivity efficiencies and cost savings and report to management
- Identify and implement AI-driven automation and process improvements within existing reporting models and procedures, reporting findings and outcomes to management
- Assist with department and company projects as requested by management
Skills
- • Knowledge about different asset classes (equity, fixed income) and investment products (mutual funds, ETFs)
- • Quantitative orientation; track record of data analysis and process improvement
- • Ability to understand the business objectives and processes of the firm including how data flows throughout the different systems and organization
- • Advanced skills in Excel
- • Ability to work on-site a minimum of 3 days per week
- • Track record of hands-on problem solving
