Summary
Vot-ER is seeking a Partnerships and Civic Health Intern to support its relationships with health institutions and organizations. The intern will maintain and expand partnerships, coordinate civic holiday mobilization, and support the Emergency Patient Voting Program through student training and resource development.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Support the Deputy Director of Partnerships in maintaining high-touch communication with existing partners to increase engagement
- Expansion: Actively identify and "bring into the fold" new health-related organizations to expand our national footprint beyond current partners
- Civic Holiday Orchestration: Prepare and execute mobilization strategies and communications assets for Civic Holidays (e.g., National Voter Registration Day, National Voter Education Week, Vote Early Day)
- Student Mobilization: Organize and train health professional students to facilitate voting access for patients who face unexpected hospitalization during election cycles
- Resource Development: Create patient-facing educational materials and bedside toolkits to streamline the emergency ballot request process
Skills
- ● SNMA Membership: Must be an active member of the Student National Medical Association
- ● Academic Credit Requirement. Candidates must provide documentation from their
institution confirming they will receive course credit for this internship
- ● Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to
communicate complex advocacy goals to diverse health professionals
- ● Remote Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote
environment, meeting deadlines and managing multiple workstreams via digital tools
(Slack, Zoom, CRM)

- ● Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to gain trust and give respect to others
