Construction Intern - Summer 2027

Summary

Walbridge is a construction and engineering company offering a summer internship program with hands-on experience and mentoring. The Construction Intern will support construction projects and engineering activities through coordination, collaboration, documentation, and interpretation of construction documents across field or office assignments.

Responsibilities

• **Contribute:** Assist in coordination of on-site construction projects and engineering activities
• **Collaborate:** Work with experienced team members including Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators, Schedulers and others
• **Support:** Complete documentation in support of subcontractor planning and administration to ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedules
• **Interpret:** Understand and interpret designs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and other construction documents

Skills

• Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
• Be passionate about construction, engineering, or related fields
• Have ability to travel
• Have strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Be eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic team environment
• Previous internship, construction, or military experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience through projects, competitions, student organizations or volunteer work
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments
