Mechanical Design Engineer

Summary

Waymaker Resource Group supports large-scale maintenance, construction, and operational improvement projects for industrial and other clients. The company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support engineering and manufacturing projects in the nuclear, power generation, and industrial sectors through mechanical design, equipment development, technical analysis, and engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
• Support equipment design, component selection, design modifications, and technical evaluations
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project teams to support project execution
• Perform design reviews, resolve technical issues, and support testing and implementation activities
• Ensure designs align with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
• Experience with mechanical design, equipment engineering, manufacturing, or industrial systems
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, CAD tools, technical specifications, or design calculations
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
