Job description
Summary
Abramson Labor Group is an employment and workers' compensation law firm advocating for employees' rights. The firm is seeking a California-barred Associate Attorney to manage workers' compensation cases, handle depositions and client communications, and support case resolution while collaborating with attorneys and staff.
Responsibilities
- Managing a docket of cases to resolution
- Preparing client for deposition
- Attending depositions
- Invoicing Depositions
- Responding to client inquiries that require attorney negations and moving matters towards resolution
- Responsive to incoming emails and phone calls
- Providing direction and guidance to non-attorneys as needed
- Bringing positivity to the workplace and leading non-attorneys by example
- Participation in team events during work and after work hours
- Providing feedback to management to ensure ALG performs the best it can for our clients
Skills
- Candidates MUST be California State Barred and reside in the state of California
- Comfortable with fast-paced work environments
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Candidates must be in good standing with the California State Bar
- Doctors' deposition experience (preferred)
