Summary

Acutec Precision Aerospace, Inc. is an employee-owned, woman-led manufacturer of flight-critical components and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industry. As an ASCEND intern, you'll gain hands-on experience, work on meaningful projects, and build skills that will set you apart after graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration – The small team environment at this facility ensures engagement, collaboration, and support. Work with the best of the best: in-house and worldwide experts in tooling, equipment, and software development
  • Community Engagement – we are focused on being engaged with our community and giving back! As a part of our team, you will be able to participate in many community service events and make it a priority to make donations to causes and programs our team members are involved with
  • Interface successfully with assigned teams
  • Assist with the improvement of policies and processes to enhance productivity and eliminate waste
  • Assist with strategic improvement initiatives within the organization to improve key features such as quality, delivery, cost, and safety
  • Assist with day -to-day tasks as well as special projects as assigned
  • Successfully complete all assigned trainings including Acutec Culture training and Safety training
  • Completes projects accurately and as assigned, meets deadlines under normal working conditions
  • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with associates. Demonstrate the ability to work with others to achieve company and department objectives
  • Handle multiple tasks, prioritize according to importance, and follow instructions and works well under pressure
  • Demonstrate the ability to grasp and follow instructions without constant supervision

Skills

  • Working towards a college degree or high school diploma
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Highly organized
  • Effective at time management
  • Process-oriented
  • Positive attitude

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Working towards a college degree or high school diploma
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
