Job description

Summary

Akamai Technologies' Business Operations, Data & Analytics team partners with the Cloud Technology Group to enable data-driven decisions through standardized, automated, and governed analytics solutions. The Strategy & Operations Analyst II will build and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, and pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide insights and operational visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with Network Infrastructure and Colocation teams to gather requirements and understand key business metrics
  • Automating reporting and enabling self-serve functionalities to provide visibility into key metrics
  • Assisting in building and maintaining data pipelines and models to support analytics use cases
  • Writing queries and combining data from various sources
  • Communicating insights to stakeholders through visualizations and reports

Skills

  • Have 5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data analytics and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
  • Possess solid working knowledge of SQL with experience querying and analyzing large datasets
  • Be proficient in Excel and/or Google Sheets for basic analysis and QA tasks and have experience with data and system integrations
  • Be knowledgeable about creating dashboards in data visualization tools, like Tableau
  • Have experience using AI Developer tools, like Copilot or Claude, in your day-to-day operations
  • Demonstrate solid communication skills to translate requirements and share findings with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have some experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) or willingness to learn

  • Have 5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or data analytics and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
