Job description

Summary

Alera Group is an independent insurance and financial services firm providing employee benefits, property and casualty insurance, retirement plan, wealth, and human capital solutions. The Compensation Analyst will support enterprise compensation programs through job pricing, benchmarking, salary surveys, compensation analytics, job architecture, and Workday activities while partnering with HR and business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Price and benchmark jobs using multiple market data sources and internal equity analysis
  • Support job architecture, leveling, job families, and career paths
  • Manage salary survey submissions and analyze market results
  • Build compensation reporting and analytics that turn data into actionable insights
  • Support annual compensation processes, salary structures, and Workday Compensation activities
  • Contribute to compensation projects tied to Alera Group’s continued transformation and growth

Skills

  • * You have **2+ years of hands-on compensation experience**, including job pricing and market benchmarking
  • * You're highly proficient in **Excel** and comfortable working with large sets of compensation data
  • * You can analyze data and explain what it means to HR and business partners
  • * You're detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • * A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field is required
  • **Travel:** Occasional travel may be required
  • Experience with **Workday Compensation, job architecture/career pathing, or CCP certification** is a plus
