Multifamily Product Analyst - Market Research

Summary

ApartmentIQ is a growth-stage PropTech company building AI and data SaaS products for the multifamily real estate industry. The Product Analyst will bridge multifamily real estate acquisitions and data science by researching market datasets, translating investor workflows into scalable product features, and applying AI techniques to improve investment insights. The role collaborates with product, engineering, and leadership teams to develop data-driven tools for institutional investors.

Responsibilities

• Research and experiment with multifamily datasets to identify opportunities for new product features and insights
• Partner with product managers and engineers to define requirements and design data-driven capabilities for ApartmentIQ Invest Pro
• Translate acquisitions workflows into scalable tools and features for institutional investors
• Apply large language models (LLMs) and other AI techniques to accelerate research, automate workflows, and unlock new insights from structured and unstructured market data
• Act as a subject matter expert on multifamily acquisitions, ensuring the product reflects real-world investor needs
• Create clear documentation, dashboards, and analyses to communicate findings and product opportunities
• Stay current on multifamily industry trends, data sources, AI/ML advances, and investment methodologies

Skills

• 3–5 years of experience in multifamily commercial real estate, with a strong background in underwriting, deal analysis, and pro forma modeling
• Proven experience using key market data sources such as CoStar, Yardi Matrix, or RealPage Market Analytics
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Experience applying large language models (LLMs) or AI/ML techniques to accelerate research, automate analysis, or extract insights from data
• Familiarity with modern data science practices, including model building, experimentation, and validation
• Experience collaborating across teams (investment, product, engineering, data science)
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate investor workflows into product features
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable in a fast-paced, product-building environment
