KeyResponsibilities

Youwillsupportthemaintenanceandengineeringteamswhiledevelopingapracticalunderstandingofterminalequipmentandassetmanagementprocesses.Undersupervision,youmay:

  • Assistwithmaintenancemanagementactivitiesandinitiativesthatimproveequipmentandsystemperformance.
  • Supportpreventivemaintenanceprocesses,equipmentinspections,troubleshootingactivities,andsafetypractices.
  • Helpreviewandimproveroutinemaintenanceandrepairchecklists.
  • Assistwithdataentry,maintenanceshiftreports,equipmentrecords,andmaintenancesoftwareupdates.
  • Applybasicmechanical,electrical,andautomationprincipleswhilesupportingdailyoperations.
  • Participateinequipmenttroubleshootingeffortsandhelpidentifyopportunitiestoreducerepetitivebreakdownsandimprovereliability.
  • Contributetocontinuousimprovementprojects,safetyinitiatives,andotherassignedlearningprojects.

WhatWeAreLookingFor

  • Continuousimprovementmindset:wearelookingforsomeonewhobringsathoughtfulimprovementmindset,curiousabouthowworkgetsdoneandmotivatedtomakemeaningful,sustainableimprovementsovertime.
  • Currentlyenrolledinanaccreditedbachelor’sdegreeprogramwithaSTEMfocus,preferablyElectricalEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,IndustrialEngineering,orarelateddiscipline.
  • EligibilitytoworkintheUnitedStates.
  • Interestinengineering,maintenance,equipmentreliability,andtroubleshooting.
  • Basicknowledgeorexperienceincontrolsystems,robotics,maintenance,mechanicalsystems,orelectricalsystemsispreferred.
  • ProgrammingknowledgeandproficiencywithPCapplications,includingMicrosoftOffice.
  • Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskillswiththeabilitytocollaborateeffectivelywithothers.
  • Goodorganizationalskills,attentiontodetail,andtheabilitytofollowdirectionsinadynamicoperationalenvironment.

Work Schedule: Interns will work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. No overtime.

Thisinternshiprequiresworkingbothinofficeandoperationalenvironments.Youmayspendtimeindoorsusingcomputersystemsandmaintenancesoftware,aswellasoutdoorssupportingequipment-relatedactivitiesandlearningopportunities.Theroleprovidesexposuretoreal-worldmaintenanceoperations,engineeringprocesses,andassetmanagementpracticeswhileadheringtoestablishedsafetystandards.
Internsworkfull-timeduringthesummerandpart-timeduringtheacademicyear.Thispositionishourly,non-exempt,andisintendedtoprovidevaluabletrainingandworkexperienceforstudentspursuingacademicstudies.
