Structural Steel Tekla Detailer

Summary

The company is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Tekla Detailer to produce high-quality structural steel fabrication drawings and 3D models. The role collaborates with engineers, project managers, senior detailers, and fabricators to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for assigned projects using Tekla Structures
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, material take-offs, generate BOMs/NC files, follow company drawing standards and QA checklists
• Coordinate with senior detailers, engineers, project managers, and shop personnel to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Review and check drawings for quality, completeness, and compliance with project standards
• Manage revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
• Assist in resolving design and fabrication issues

Skills

• • 2+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel)
• • Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures
• • Strong knowledge of AISC, or relevant industry standards
• • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
• • Experience with clash detection and coordination
• • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• • 5+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer (structural steel)
• • Experience working with fabrication shops or on-site construction teams
• • Familiarity with BIM workflows and integration
