Summary
Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology for the packaging and related industries. The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation and technical support of the organization’s server infrastructure, including support for various operating systems and cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day support of server operating systems and related software and hardware
- Troubleshoots application and operating system problems
- Document system configurations, and operational procedures to ensure standardized operating procedures and processes
- Provides Level 2 support to the IT Service Desk team
- Responsible for administration and support of on-premises Exchange as well as Exchange Online tenant including configuring mailbox access
- Work with other IT team members to address resolve/acknowledge alerts generated by monitoring tools such as SolarWinds
- Installs, configures, and decommissions servers following Server Lifecycle Provisioning processes
- Schedules Server OS refreshes and upgrades
- Support and maintain Windows and Azure Active Directory environments
- Evaluate system specifications and requirements to ensure hardware and software compatibility and security standards
- Work with the network team to support and troubleshoot networking site related issues
- Work with security team to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities reported by security tools managed and maintained by the IT Security team

Skills
- 1-3yrs of Experience
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills are required
- Excellent written and oral communications skills required
- Proficient in Windows Server and hypervisor technologies
- Proficient in Windows and Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure and/or AWS
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and other networking concepts
- Ability to work independently
- Associate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
