Summary
Bechtel Corporation provides engineering and project services across infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, and other markets. The Process/Chemical Engineer Intern will support multidisciplinary teams in designing large-scale chemical manufacturing facilities and related processes, including process diagrams, material balances, datasheets, and relief systems.
Responsibilities
- Determining the sequence of operations and the selection of equipment and operating conditions required to convert a feedstock into products
- Generating Process Flow Diagrams, Heat and Material Balances, and Process Datasheets
- Designing the Relief System
- Supporting disciplines to ensure that process design intent is maintained throughout the work of the downstream design disciplines
Skills
- Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor of Science degree program in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate studies in one of the above fields
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
- Currently enrolled in a Master of Science degree program in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited college or university
- Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
