Summary
Bechtel is seeking a recent graduate to join its University Hire Program as a Control Systems Engineer. The role supports the design, development, and evaluation of control systems components and processes while collaborating with other engineering disciplines. Responsibilities include developing automation networks, implementing process control strategies, and programming control systems for plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop automation networks and provide technical specifications for state-of-the art distributed digital control systems and programmable logic controllers
- Formulate and implement diverse process control strategies and program algorithms
- Provide expertise in the selection, application, and installation of process instrumentation and control valves; and
- Originate and program logic diagrams to control mechanical systems and develop system graphics to facilitate plant operations
Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
- Eligible for the University Hire Program (typically hired within 12 months of graduation)
- Ability and willingness to relocate and/or travel to domestic and/or international project jobsites
- Possess the eligibility to work and remain in the US without visa sponsorship, now or in the future
- Master of Science degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university within the past twelve (12) months or upcoming twelve (12) months
- Prior co-op or internship experience
- Completed relevant coursework with a strong GPA
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
