Job description

Summary

Boston Scientific is a global medical technology leader dedicated to transforming lives through innovative medical technologies. In this Project Manager role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of divisional projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and track detailed project schedules, milestones and deliverables using project management tools
  • Coordinate project activities across cross-functional teams, including Research and Development, Marketing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Operations
  • Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks, resource constraints and potential delays; escalate issues as appropriate
  • Support project planning activities, including timeline development, resource planning and project documentation
  • Facilitate project meetings, document action items and follow up to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Consolidate inputs from team members and stakeholders to maintain accurate project schedules and status reports
  • Track project metrics, deliverables and dependencies to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Assist in resource management activities, including tracking team capacity, assignments and project workload across multiple initiatives
  • Prepare and communicate project status updates to stakeholders and leadership
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with established business and quality processes
  • Perform additional duties and support special projects as assigned

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in project coordination, project management or a related field
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing project schedules and deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira or similar platforms
  • Experience creating and maintaining project schedules, tracking milestones and monitoring project performance
  • Understanding of project management principles, methodologies and best practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functional teams
  • Ability to identify risks, resolve issues and proactively follow up on project action items
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate project documentation
  • Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments
  • Experience in a regulated industry and familiarity with product development processes
  • Experience supporting product development or commercialization projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management training
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functional teams
