Summary
Bureau Veritas is a global provider of testing, inspection, and certification services. The Elevator Inspection Intern will support senior inspectors with safety, mechanical, and electrical inspections of elevators, escalators, and related equipment while documenting findings and preparing for the Qualified Elevator Inspector exam.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior inspectors in performing safety, mechanical, and electrical inspections on elevators, escalators, and related equipment
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and code requirements
- Document inspection findings accurately and prepare preliminary reports
- Participate in daily safety briefings and wear appropriate PPE
- Complete assigned coursework and practice exams to prepare for the Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) exam
Skills
- Active-duty U.S. military service member in the final 180 days of service
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; proficiency in MS OƯice
- Technical or vocational training preferred
