Summary
Capitol Services is a provider of services to legal and financial professionals nationwide. The Account Executive will promote company services, build long-term relationships with new and existing clients, and grow sales in the Mid-Atlantic market. This remote field sales role also involves client meetings, market research, proposals, trade events, and sales reporting.
Responsibilities
- Grow sales through communication with existing and prospective clients
- Communicate with clients and prospective clients to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs
- Schedule client and prospective client meetings and develop action plans for follow-up
- Identify and resolve client concerns to ensure client retention and growth
- Expand market awareness of the company’s services and industry experience
- Maintain records of client communications and contact information
- Respond to requests for proposals and information
- Attend and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
- Communicate client and prospective client information with employees, including management, as appropriate
- Research market data and maintain knowledge of competitor products and pricing
- Submit sales status reports as required to management, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
Skills
- You have a Bachelor's degree and/or 4+ years of industry-relevant sales experience
- Alternatively, you have experience as a transactional attorney or corporate paralegal within a large law firm or a Fortune 1000 corporate legal department
- You have knowledge of CRM systems, such as Salesforce
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Software (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and interacting with Adobe PDF documents
- You have the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects / assignments
- You have strong attention to detail and exhibit a reasonable sense of urgency
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You communicate in both a professional and friendly manner with clients, coworkers, correspondents, and others
- You consistently demonstrate a positive customer service attitude, including dealing patiently with problems or complaints while remaining courteous when faced with difficult or angry people
- You are eager to use new tools and learn new processes and technologies
- You can adapt to changing priorities while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- You have strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise
- You have the ability to retain and implement instruction and training
- You are open to learn and navigate our current processes and systems
