Summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram is a nationally recognized accounting and advisory firm known for its audit, tax, and business consulting expertise. They are seeking a Capital Markets Audit Intern for Spring 2027 to assist with various audit procedures and gain hands-on experience working with partners and managers on client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Financial statement audit procedures
  • Testing account balances, transactions, and internal controls
  • Preparing audit workpapers and supporting documentation
  • Participating in client meetings and walkthroughs
  • Performing analytical procedures and financial statement analyses
  • Researching accounting and auditing guidance
  • Collaborating with engagement teams to address accounting and reporting matters
  • Supporting engagements throughout planning, fieldwork, and completion

Skills

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • Intention to pursue CPA licensure upon meeting eligibility requirements
  • Strong academic performance
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Completion of introductory and intermediate accounting coursework preferred
  • Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, employment, volunteer activities, or other campus involvement is a plus
