Summary
CapinCrouse, now part of CRI, serves mission-focused nonprofit organizations by providing financial integrity and security support. The Senior Associate, Single Audit (Uniform Guidance) performs accounting and auditing assignments, supports engagement planning, prepares working papers, applies GAAP and audit procedures, and communicates with clients to complete engagements.
Responsibilities
- Performs diversified accounting and auditing assignments under the direction of supervisor and manager
- Participates in planning and scheduling client engagements
- Prepares and indexes working papers; performs various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to verify accuracy and validity of client’s financial matters
- Begins to develop a command of GAAP, other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations
- Obtains a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
- Effectively communicates with client to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with a minimum of disruption to client
Skills
- Meets all requirements to sit for CPA exam
- Minimum of 3 years in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks as well as having in charged engagements
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
