Summary
Centene Corporation is a healthcare organization focused on improving access to effective care. The Finance Analyst III will analyze complex financial information, lead financial projects, and provide insights supporting medical expense optimization, performance improvement, forecasting, and strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Medical Economics to drive trend analysis and KPI tracking and monitoring
- Monitor execution and performance of initiatives and work with cross-functional leaders to drive initiatives focused on performance improvement, implementing Corrective Action Plans as needed
- Drive strategic initiatives focused on medical expense optimization, improving overall efficiency and effectiveness, and resource allocation
- Assess return on investment (ROI) projections and analyze anticipated value outcomes
- Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately
- Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management
- Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts
- Handle complex and high-level financial analysis
- Present and discuss analysis with upper management
Skills
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of financial or data analysis experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Healthcare Payor finance and accounting
- High-level financial modeling capabilities
- Ability to work with large datasets that can at times be ambiguous
