Summary
Centric Software provides an AI-enabled product-concept-to-commercialization platform for retailers, brands, and manufacturers. The Senior Data Scientist / Consultant builds advanced statistical and machine learning models, translates customer requirements into data solutions, and works directly with clients and project teams to support pricing, promotion, and inventory decisions.
Responsibilities
- Partner with project managers, consultants, and clients across the full arc of an onboarding project
- Turn business processes and customer requirements into concrete data transformations and modelling approaches
- Make technical concepts land with non-technical stakeholders clearly
- Own the technical conversation: you are the go-to contact for data science and data engineering topics
- Keep data flows accurate, stable, and well documented
- Design, prepare, and analyze A/B tests that settle open questions with evidence
- Train and validate statistical and machine learning models that quantify what pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions really do to the business
- Prototype with product management and take the good ideas all the way to efficient, well-tested code in Python
- Track project-specific effort and keep solution documentation reliable and complete
- Align customers and partners on data formats and transmission schedules
Skills
- Excellent SQL skills and outstanding analytical instincts
- 3+ years in data analytics, ideally in retail or consumer products
- Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels)
- Strong communication skills in English, and the ability to make data concepts clear to a non-technical audience
- A degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, or a related field
- Experience with big data environments such as PySpark
- Familiarity with statistical modeling or behavioral price effects
- Additional languages beyond English
