Summary
CHS Inc. is a global agribusiness owned by farmers, ranchers, and cooperatives that provides grain, food, and energy resources. The Recruiting Intern will support the Field Talent Acquisition Team by sourcing and screening candidates, managing recruiting activities, collaborating with stakeholders, and helping meet seasonal hiring needs across CHS Ag Retail locations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with efficiency in a high-energy, fast paced team environment
- Identify and source appropriate talent for around 300 seasonal openings for our spring planting season
- Support the CHS employment brand, diversity initiatives, and other programs
- Support the recruitment process and life cycle, including job postings, resume review, interviews, and competitive analysis
- Utilize our applicant tracking system and other recruiting software to track applicants from the selection phase to interviews with the hiring managers
- Learn about employee benefits, compensation, incentive programs, and CHS culture to share with candidates
- Provide sourcing support for other Talent Acquisition colleagues as needed
- Focus on providing a positive candidate experience by ensuring appropriate follow up and professional communication with candidates at all levels in the process
- Provide a positive hiring manager experience and ensure regular updates are provided to hiring managers
- Utilize social media, job boards, internet sourcing, and other technical and creative means to source candidates for open jobs
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with a preferred emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or Agriculture
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Efficient multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Full-time 32+ hours per week with core business hours availability. (Core business hours are typically between 8 am and 5 pm Central Time, may have some flexibility)
- Previous internship experience in an HR or recruiting role preferred
- Agricultural background preferred
