Internship overview
In our first 30 years, Convoy of Hope has had the opportunity to serve with strategic partners and develop positive relationships. It’s these relationships that drive support and allow Convoy to respond with sensitivity and intentionality. The Development team assists with partnership development/management, monitoring/reporting, and most importantly, building relationships. Students serving with the Development team will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams, gaining hands-on experience in partnership management within a humanitarian context.

Title: Development Intern Working Group: VariousDivision: Development Reports to: Donor Engagement DirectorGeneral Track DescriptionThe Development Intern will collaborate with various teams within Development to supportfundraising initiatives and partner engagement efforts. Responsibilities include assisting withdonor interactions, conducting research, preparing for events, and contributing to other tasksthat advance the mission of Convoy of Hope. The Development Intern should have an interestin the faith-based ministry of Convoy of Hope and will be invited to attend chapel servicesand prayer.Desired Learning Outcomes1. Students will develop interpersonal skills in a professional environment.2. Students will understand strategies for interacting with high profile individuals.3. Students will become familiar with common fundraising databases and software.4. Students will recognize and demonstrate intelligent compassion.Essential Duties & Responsibilities1. Assists with Salesforce and Excel database management2. Tracks and analyzes data to further fundraising efforts3. Connects with donors to thank them for their support of our ministry4. Supports prospect research to develop portfolios5. Organizes and prepares for high profile donor events6. Meets with the various arms of the Development team7. Creates assets and materials for sharing valuable information with partners8. Completes other tasks or projects that may be beneficial to the internship experienceand of assistance to the Development teamKnowledge, Skills & Abilities1. Currently pursuing a degree in management, nonprofit business, or a related field2. Strong academic record3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills4. Strong attention to detail5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Canva6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills7. Power to cultivate enduring partner relationships8.
