Summary

The Project Engineer is an entry-level role supporting project coordination, document management, procurement, scheduling, subcontractor communication, cost tracking, quality control, and jobsite operations. Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination and execution
- Support the management of submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, and project documentation
- Track project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables
- Assist with procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
- Maintain organized project files, records, reports, and correspondence
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting notes and action items
- Coordinate communication between office staff, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Monitor and track project costs, commitments, and change orders
- Support quality control activities and project closeout documentation
- Conduct jobsite visits to observe construction progress and verify work completion
- Assist with project reporting, status updates, and project forecasting
- Promote and support compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Develop a strong understanding of field operations, construction sequencing, and project management best practices

- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field
- Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in construction, project coordination, or field operations
- Experience working for a General Contractor or subcontractor in a commercial or industrial construction environment
