Summary

Crum & Forster is a commercial lines insurance company seeking summer 2027 interns for its Commercial Lines division. The interns will work on actuarial or product services projects involving insurance pricing, analytics, filing-process automation, and AI while partnering with experienced actuaries, data scientists, and product specialists.

Responsibilities

• Work on 2-3 projects related to the above focuses
• Develop, maintain, review, update, and enhance existing processes and tools
• Partner with tenured actuaries, data scientists, and product specialists and learn about the nuances of insurance
• Support initiatives that drive efficiency, accuracy, and innovation across a broad range of Commercial Lines functions

Skills

• **Actuarial and Product**: Excel or R experience required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing
• An ability to manage time and work effectively independently
• Relevant coursework/exams in actuarial science or data science a plus
