Job description

Summary

DataPath, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Data Analyst to support the administration and processing of employer data files within its benefits administration platforms. The role focuses on validating and troubleshooting eligibility, enrollment, payroll, and demographic files, resolving data discrepancies, supporting implementations, and improving file-processing workflows in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and process employer eligibility, enrollment, payroll, and demographic files
  • Monitor inbound and outbound file schedules and identify missing or delayed files
  • Verify file formats, layouts, naming conventions, and required data elements
  • Utilize file management and automation tools to process high volumes of employer files
  • Research and resolve file processing errors and exceptions
  • Analyze data discrepancies and determine appropriate corrective action
  • Investigate enrollment issues related to file inaccuracies
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring data and transmission problems
  • Identify upstream and downstream impacts of file corrections
  • Support new client implementations and file conversions
  • Assist with file mapping, testing, and validation activities
  • Review employer file specifications and recommend improvements
  • Participate in implementation meetings and virtual project teams
  • Audit processed files to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Validate successful imports into benefits administration systems
  • Review exception reports and resolve processing fallout
  • Maintain documentation related to file processing standards and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements
  • Assist in developing standardized file templates, naming conventions, and file management procedures
  • Document best practices and support training initiatives
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within Operations and Implementation teams
  • Maintain a productive and professional home office environment
  • Effectively communicate through Microsoft Teams, email, and virtual meetings
  • Manage workload independently with minimal supervision
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings, project discussions, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Meet established productivity, accuracy, and service-level expectations
  • Maintain confidentiality and security standards for all employer and participant data

Skills

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Benefits administration
  • Eligibility processing
  • Data processing
  • Payroll administration
  • EDI support
  • Benefits technology platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work setting
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with benefits administration platforms
  • Experience supporting enrollment, eligibility, payroll, or EDI files
  • Knowledge of employee benefits including:
