Summary
Molecular Devices develops automated and AI-enabled technologies for life science customers in academia, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and government. The Field Service Engineer provides exceptional customer experience through communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, repair, account management, process improvement, and management of a diverse technical product portfolio while supporting customers in the greater Northwest U.S. states.
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage customer accounts, while building and fostering positive and professional relationships with both external and internal customers
- Propose process improvements that improve internal and external customer processes
- Manage a diverse technical product portfolio
- This position requires up to 60% flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- This position requires the ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
- Previous experience with a customer facing role
- Previous experience managing a diverse product portfolio
Skills
- Associates degree with 2+ years of Field Service experience or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Biology or related degree or equivalent military experience
- Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving and repair skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills utilized in a professional manner
- Previous experience with a customer facing role
- Previous experience managing a diverse product portfolio
