Summary
Edkey is seeking an entry-level Data Analyst to support day-to-day reporting operations and contribute to modernization efforts. The role involves validating data outputs, investigating anomalies, and ensuring accurate and timely deliverables while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end report delivery for internal and external stakeholders; ensure outputs are accurate, secure, and delivered on time (Operational ownership — ~60%)
- Maintain delivery calendars and integrated plans; coordinate milestones and dependencies across teams
- Monitor workflow health, identify risks, escalate issues, and contribute to mitigation
- Validate data outputs and perform quality checks to ensure reporting reliability
- Review business and technical requirements; provide input on data design, reporting logic, and process improvements (Analysis & strategic improvements — ~20%)
- Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
- Research and adopt tools/approaches to improve automation, scalability, and efficiency
- Troubleshoot data and reporting issues; identify root causes and support resolution (Support — ~20%)
- Fulfill ad hoc data requests and collaborate with team members to ensure consistent communication and timely support
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
- ~1–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or software/data-related roles (internships and academic projects count)
- Demonstrated experience using SQL and Python for data querying and analysis
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar visualization tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
- Understanding of ETL, data warehousing, and data modeling fundamentals
- Comfortable working in a remote, team-oriented environment
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reporting & data visualization (Tableau experience preferred)
- AWS exposure (cloud data services familiarity)
- Version control exposure (Git)
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- Remote collaboration experience / ability to work autonomously
