Summary
Eventeny builds software to simplify the management of large-scale events for organizers, exhibitors, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers. The Account Strategist will manage and grow a portfolio of core clients, drive retention, renewals, and expansion, support platform adoption, and identify opportunities for revenue growth. The role will also analyze account health, negotiate renewals, develop account plans, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of core Eventeny clients, ensuring satisfaction, goodwill, retention, and expansion
- Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client goals, translating them into actionable strategies, and aligning them with product capabilities
- Analyze account health metrics to identify risks early and proactively implement retention strategies
- Forecast renewals, manage contract negotiations, and drive upsell, cross-sell, referral, and review opportunities within existing accounts
- Assist in preparing data-driven account planning to demonstrate ROI and identify growth opportunities
- Communicate product knowledge effectively to customers and develop creative solutions to challenging problems
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers
- Keep meticulous records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
- Maintain a standard communication cadence to ensure relevant touches throughout the renewal cycle
- Occasionally assist with live events, customer calls, or presentations as needed
Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in account management, strategic management, or a growth-oriented client-facing role
- Demonstrated ability to grow or retain client accounts in a prior client-facing role
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to proactively manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Empathy and compassion in handling clients
- Ability to quickly and proactively identify challenges and brainstorm solutions
- High-level knowledge of G-Suite products, including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Intercom, Asana, and Slack
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data/analytics mindset (interpret metrics, use insights for decision-making)
- Added Plus: Experience in the event and/or SaaS industry
