Summary
Fleetio is a modern software platform that helps organizations manage their fleet operations. They are seeking a product-minded and collaborative Software Engineer to join their Growth Engineering team, focusing on improving user onboarding and product adoption while delivering high-quality software that impacts customer growth and retention.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Operations, and other Engineers to deliver high-quality product experiences
- Design and implement features that improve user onboarding, product adoption, and long-term engagement
- Help build experiments that validate product ideas and measure customer impact
- Contribute to technical discussions and collaborate on solutions that balance customer value with technical excellence
- Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code
- Prototype solutions and iterate quickly based on customer feedback and product insights
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge with teammates, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
Skills
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 1+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience building modern web applications using React and TypeScript
- Experience building full-stack web applications and customer-facing features
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with writing efficient database queries and working with application data
- Experience with unit testing frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Exposure to A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, or feature flagging
- Familiarity with product analytics or user behavior tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or similar platforms

- Project experience with Tailwind CSS
