Summary
Florida State University is a research university seeking a Program Manager, Administrative Services for the Stoops Center for Communities, Families, and Children. The role manages Palm Beach projects, leads community engagement and substance use disorder prevention outreach, supervises staff, coordinates external partners, and supports program implementation through regional travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage Palm Beach projects, including developing work plans, monitoring timelines and budgets, tracking deliverables and outcomes, and ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met
- Lead community engagement and SUD prevention outreach with schools, behavioral health providers, youth-serving organizations, and community partners
- Supervise and support research assistants and OPS staff, including recruitment, training, professional development, and day-to-day project guidance
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with university faculty and staff, community organizations, government agencies, and behavioral health partners
- Serve as a primary liaison for external partners, coordinating project activities and maintaining clear communication across stakeholders
- Represent the Center at community meetings, trainings, outreach activities, and project-related events
- Travel approximately 15–20% within Palm Beach County and to other project locations to support program implementation, outreach, and partner engagement
Skills
- Bachelor's degree and four years' experience related to administrative services or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
- Master's degree in social work, human services or social services field
- Relevant professional experience managing or coordinating university-based projects
- Experience with community engagement, behavioral health, children and youth services, or substance use disorder prevention is preferred
