Summary
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is a technology and professional services company supporting government agencies. The Case Files Analyst manages, analyzes, redacts, tracks, and submits responses to document requests while supporting child advocate appointments, litigation-related projects, and FOIA processing.
Responsibilities
- Manage a shared inbox that receives requests for information. Log, track and assign requests to oneself and other team members as necessary
- Analyze requests to understand who the requestor is, what information is being sought and what information can be released based on requestor’s affiliation to the information and SOPs
- Collaborate with various stakeholders such as program and/or customer staff to compile the requested documents
- Review files and redact information as directed by SOPs. Analyzes complex or unique requests by reviewing previous scenarios and seeking guidance from the team/leadership
- Submit completed requests to the requestor based on urgent or standard timelines
- Manage, track and authorize child advocate appointments for program participants
- Participate in special projects as required such as fulfilling large document requests in response to litigation inquiries
- Assist the FOIA team with processing requests and other tasks as requested
Skills

- 3 + years of related experience
- 2+ years of related document or program analysis experience working at an agency that provides services for underserved/vulnerable populations
- Must have demonstrated experience working with sensitive documentation, an understanding of the proper handling of PII and experience following SOPs outlining the release of information
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access)
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or relevant field preferred
- Experience working with underserved/vulnerable populations preferred
