Project Engineer

Summary

GigFinder.ai is hiring a Remote Project Engineer to deliver innovative technology projects and enhance system capabilities. The role is responsible for implementing client solutions, optimizing infrastructure performance and reliability, and supporting collaboration across project teams while working with technologies including servers, networks, cloud platforms, endpoints, and security systems.

Responsibilities

Skills

• The ideal candidate typically has 5 years of experience designing, testing, and deploying complete technology solutions
• Proven project execution expertise with a track record of successful implementations
• Strong technical proficiency in infrastructure components and systems
• Strong technical proficiency in configuring and deploying various infrastructure changes, including firewalls, servers, networking, and wireless
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system optimization
• Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities for effective stakeholder engagement
• Client-focused mindset with a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a customer-centric approach to project execution
• Experience working with remote teams is required
• Hands-on or remote deployment and troubleshooting experience for different technologies including endpoints, servers, cloud technologies, networks, etc
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, and at times high-pressure consulting environment
• Candidates must have demonstrable experience in at least two of the following areas:
• Windows Server Environment Setup
• Active Directory and Active Directory Services
• DNS and DHCP
• Hypervisor Setup and Configuration with Hyper-V
• Cloud Platform Deployments
• Standard O365 Apps such as SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams
• Cloud Identify Management such as Azure AD and EntraID
• MDM platforms including Intune and MaaS360
• Email Migration and Support
• Experience migration from on-premises Exchange to O365
• Migration tools and scripts such as those from BitTitan
• Data Storage Device Setup and Deployment
• NAS solutions from QNAP and Synology and Dell
• Computer: A working computer with a minimum of 8GB RAM and one of the following:
• Windows 11 with an Intel i5 or i7 (8th generation or newer), or
• AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 (2000 series or newer), or
• MacOS 12 or newer
• Internet: Stable internet connection with at least 5 Mbps download and upload speeds
• Audio Equipment: A quality headset with a noise-cancellation feature for meetings
• Mobile Device: A smartphone capable of installing the Microsoft Authenticator app
• Webcam: An HD webcam for video calls
• 2nd Monitor
• Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written
• Able to work full time for 40 hrs. a week: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (Monday to Friday)
• Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments
• Able to provide NBI Clearance (for PH applicants)
• Ideal candidates also have demonstrable experience in at least two of the following areas:
• Preferably, at least two of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, 3cx Basic Certified Engineer
• Experience using Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools or ticketing platforms such as ConnectWise is a plus but not required for this position
• Prior experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment supporting multiple Clients is a plus but not required for this position
• Experience using Remote Monitoring and Management tools (RMM) such as Kaseya or LabTech/ConnectWise Automate is a plus but not required for this position
• UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) if using a desktop (Not needed if using a laptop)
