Summary
Good Culture is a cultured dairy company focused on creating organic, health-oriented food products. The Accounting Contractor will support month-end close, hedge accounting, FloQast implementation, recurring reporting, and potential ERP cutover activities while partnering with accounting leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day month-end close mechanics: journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and checklist execution
- Support hedge accounting documentation and effectiveness testing methodology ahead of the first hedge trades, then prepare ongoing monthly mark-to-market entries and effectiveness assessments once the program is live
- Map the current close calendar, tasks, and bottlenecks, and use that diagnostic to help build out FloQast — including reconciliation templates, task lists, and checklists, and training the accounting team
- Prepare recurring monthly and ad-hoc reporting as needed
- Support ERP cutover work as the engagement extends: data conversion validation, parallel-run reconciliations, and opening balance true-ups
- Partner closely with the Accounting Manager, Director of Accounting, and CFO across workstreams
Skills
- Solid hands-on month-end close experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Experience with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and FloQast
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to jump in and contribute from day one
- Exposure to derivative or hedge accounting (ASC 815) is a strong plus
- Prior ERP transition or cutover experience is a meaningful plus
- CPG industry background and CPA preferred
