Summary
GTT manages an international network and provides support to customers worldwide. The Service Assurance Engineer will troubleshoot network issues, manage incidents through resolution, configure network devices, support service migrations, and help maintain a stable, resilient, and high-performing network environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide break/fix support across GTT's global network
- Own and drive incidents through to successful resolution
- Perform technical validation, troubleshooting, and escalation management
- Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve service issues
- Configure network devices and support service migrations
- Proactively identify recurring issues and drive preventative actions
- Maintain accurate documentation and customer communications
- Ensure operational procedures and best practices are followed
Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a Telco, Service Provider, or similar environment
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills
- Experience with SD-WAN, Security, and SASE technologies
- Good understanding of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and EIGRP
- Experience with Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, STP, and LACP
- Knowledge of MPLS, L2VPN, and L3VPN services
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Cisco IOS and hardware experience
- Juniper JUNOS experience
- Certifications such as CCNA, JNCNA, Fortinet FCA, or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCCSA
- Experience in a NOC or Service Operations environment
