Job description

Summary

The CBO Billing Specialist manages insurance accounts receivable, submits compliant claims, resolves payer denials, follows up on claims, and supports revenue cycle operations across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient financial, insurance, and demographic information for compliant claim submissions
  • Resolve payer denials and follow up on claims requiring additional payer response
  • Oversee billing and collection of payments across all HFH hospitals, outpatient clinics, and employed physician practices
  • Work independently to prioritize tasks and meet third-party payer requirements

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office or healthcare-related environment
  • Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle role
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT/HCPCS codes, and revenue coding
