Job description

Summary

PTZ Pet Insurance, part of Independence Pet Group, is seeking a Paid Media Manager to lead performance marketing for its direct-to-consumer business. The role owns customer acquisition strategy and execution across paid search and broader channels, manages budgets and partners, optimizes conversion and funnels, and drives profitable growth through analytics, experimentation, and measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Own customer acquisition performance across paid search and broader performance marketing channels
  • Develop annual and quarterly growth plans aligned to business objectives and revenue targets
  • Identify scalable growth opportunities across channels, audiences, products, and markets
  • Recommend investment allocations based on performance, incrementality, and business impact
  • Influence forecasting, budget planning, and growth targets
  • Own strategy and performance across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, and emerging search experiences
  • Guide keyword, audience, bidding, creative, landing page, and measurement strategies
  • Develop testing roadmaps to improve efficiency and acquisition volume
  • Partner with agencies and platform teams to ensure best-in-class execution
  • Partner with product, UX, analytics, and lifecycle marketing teams to improve conversion across the acquisition journey
  • Identify opportunities to improve quote starts, quote completions, sales conversion, and customer onboarding
  • Lead landing page testing and CRO initiatives
  • Translate customer insights into performance improvements
  • Monitor CAC, LTV, conversion rate, contribution margin, ROAS, and incrementality metrics
  • Evaluate attribution models and measurement approaches
  • Develop executive-level reporting and performance narratives
  • Partner with analytics teams to identify actionable insights and optimization opportunities
  • Lead external agencies and platform relationships
  • Hold partners accountable to business outcomes
  • Evaluate new technologies, tools, and marketing partners
  • Ensure strategic alignment across all performance marketing investments
  • Stay ahead of industry trends including AI search, automation, audience targeting, and measurement innovation
  • Launch and evaluate new channel pilots
  • Develop recommendations for emerging acquisition opportunities

Skills

  • 2-4+ years of performance marketing experience
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
  • Experience managing annual media budgets of $5M+
  • Strong understanding of acquisition economics including CAC, LTV, ROAS, and incrementality
  • Proven experience scaling customer acquisition programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing agencies and external partners
  • Advanced Excel and performance reporting capabilities
  • Experience with attribution and media mix modeling
  • Familiarity with GA4, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Experience with CRO platforms and experimentation programs
  • Experience leading multi-channel acquisition programs
  • Preferred regulated-industry experience
