Summary
Jack Henry is a financial technology company serving community banks and credit unions. The company is seeking a Software Engineer II to contribute to Angular, .NET, API, and SQL development on the UEP team, including designing, developing, testing, debugging, and supporting software applications.
Responsibilities
- Participates in product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution
- May perform system analysis and programming activities which may require research and timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production
- With assistance, provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application
- With assistance, tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices
- Uses best practices and standard guidance to create and modify routine, low impact code
- Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
- Works with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives
- May participate in critical tasks and deliverables with assistance, and sets and updates expectations on size, scope, and timelines
- Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Conducts unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of developed software
- Debug and troubleshoot issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions
- May perform other job duties as assigned
Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of overall software development experience which should include
- Angular development experience
- C# / .NET development
- REST API development and integration
- SQL Server and database fundamentals
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting application issues
- Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts (async/await)
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and database best practices (e.g., avoiding SQL injection)
- Full stack development experience (UI, APIs, and database)
- Experience conducting or participating in code reviews
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar solutions
- Experience with modern development practices, source control, and collaborative development workflows
- Very Familiar with OWASP Top 10 Vulnerabilities***.***
