COLE401: Social Media Coordinator/Moderator

Summary

JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Social Media Coordinator/Moderator manages digital engagement, executes social media tactics, fosters community interaction, and moderates discussions across platforms including Discord, LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.

Responsibilities

• Implements comprehensive social media tactics aligned with JerseySTEM's engagement and promotional objectives
• Engages with followers, responds to comments and inquiries, moderates discussions, and fosters positive online interactions on various platforms including Discord, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and others

Skills

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools
• Experience with graphic design, video editing, and content creation tools

Benefits

• Approximately six flexible hours per week
• $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership; K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit
