Summary
JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. The Remote Event Coordinator plans and executes community events for JerseySTEM college instructors, managing partners, logistics, marketing, supplies, permissions, and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for remote planning, organizing, and executing events within the JerseySTEM community setting
- Order supplies , marketing collaterals to be delivered at the event
- Secure Image release permission as appropriate
- Manages event logistics, budget, and marketing, ensuring events are successful and meet the needs of the JerseySTEM college instructors community
- Partner with the communication team to produce an Event write-up (Social Media, Blog,...)
Skills
- All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions
- Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of event planning software and tools
- Budget management and financial acumen
- Experience in marketing and promotion
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- 6 Hours weekly
- 6 months minimum
