Summary
Klarity is the Enterprise Instinct platform that leverages AI to optimize enterprise operations. The AI Backend Engineer will design and build backend services that power Klarity's multimodal agents, ensuring reliability and security in real enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, experiment, build, test, and deploy the backend services that power everything our users use
- Implement AI orchestration pipelines that hold up under real-world variability
- Balance long-term architectural vision with relentless shipping cadence
- Design least-privilege access, strong tenant isolation, auditability, and secure data handling
- Develop fluency across backend, AI, product, and infrastructure by working alongside teammates from each discipline
Skills
- 1-3 years shipping production code (or exceptional new grads with strong portfolios)
- Experience in building services, APIs, data models, and infrastructure that are reliable, observable, secure, and fast
- Ability to design and build for the future while shipping for today
- Experience with AI orchestration pipelines and making the AI stack reliable
- Experience in developing judgment on architectural tradeoffs and tech debt
- Ability to design least-privilege access, strong tenant isolation, auditability, and secure data handling
- Experience in turning ambiguous product asks into clean technical specs
- Experience with LLMs, multimodal agents, orchestration protocols
- Experience in building meaningful AI-powered projects, whether production, open-source, or serious side projects
- Familiarity with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot
