Job description
Summary
Kreative Technologies, LLC is seeking a Java Developer to build and maintain features for enterprise applications. The role involves developing tested Java code, building web services and REST APIs, working with relational databases, resolving defects, and participating in an Agile development team.
Responsibilities
- Develops, tests and maintains Java application code
- Builds and updates web services and REST APIs
- Writes SQL to work with relational databases
- Fixes defects and supports production issues
- Writes unit tests and takes part in code reviews
- Participates in sprint planning, stand-ups and other Agile ceremonies
- Documents code and technical changes
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field required
- 3+ years of Java development experience
- Experience with Spring or Spring Boot
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle or Db2
- Experience with Git and a build tool such as Maven or Gradle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms
- Experience supporting federal government contracts
